video audio out of sync

Some of my vids i have are out of sync when i play them in media center. I had a smiler problem in vista media center. In vista all my vids where green. I download sharks codec pack and that fixed it. I tried the codec for windows 7 but it did not work. Audio and vid not synced. I am running windows 7 64bit

Windows 7 64bit

I'm having the same problem. And to help narrow responses, it's NOT the video files and the problem extends to other media players as well, like WinAMP. Sometimes, completely by random, I can have a video play with the audio synced just fine. But this is rare.

I too run Windows 7 64bit. I have 4 gigs of RAM, and before I upgraded from Vista, I never had this problem. Ever.

windows 7 64 bit

I just upgraded to Windows 7 from XP. It is April 2010 now and I am having AV sync issues when playing back xvid files in media center. The same files play perfectly through VLC and using media center with Sharky's FFDShow codec. I'd much rather use a native Windows codec. Has anyone solved this problem. The only reason I upgraded to Windows 7 and bought all new hardware was to get the Directx11 and better hardware video acceleration. Here I am, still using Boxee because the Windows Media Center is still half broken. It's a shame that this problem still exists 5-6 months later!

Are you sure you downloaded the 64 bit Sharkys codecs?

Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit

Along with x64 operating systems requiring the additional x64 Components addon to be installed, I have also included a checkbox to use SUGGESTED settings. This checkbox is at the bottom of both the 32bit and the 64bit settings applications. For those of you unfamiliar with codecs, this checkbox will most likely solve most issues you encounter.
