360 Extender, experiencing stuttering only when using 7MC tv guide

    Hi,

I have a well functioning HTPC running 7MC with 2 Xbox 360 Extenders and a Ceton 4 PCI card. It works great for both SDTV and HDTV, on Extenders and main unit, even when running all 4 tuners simultaneously.

The only issue I have is the network lag and stuttering of the feed in the background while I pull up the tv guide or scroll through the guide too fast. It works fine on the HTPC itself, but for some reason it causes the extender to temporarily lose its tv feed in the background. It seemingly cannot handle the guide requests and the TV output at the same time. This is odd, because I would think that if it was my network, the HDTV output itself would be compromised, but it's not.

Please let me know if you have any ideas. Thanks!

If you have lots of media with media center then it will always be slow.

he isnt even discussing or using/browsing any media files, only LiveTV.

even if he owned a large 'media' collection, exactly what do you base this opinion on?
I have a large media Library and have never experienced any such slowdown, ever.

To the original poster; increasing system RAM may solve your issue.
Since you have not filled out your systems specs, a guess is all you'll get.
