    I wish you the best of luck with that card, I used to without issue for over 12 months, then rebuilt my system and had nothing but video artifacting and channels going blank. Aslo tuners would go into deep sleep and not record things, the only way to sort was a reboot. I moved to a TBS 6280, never had a problem since. The Blackgold is a good card its just too unstable in my opinion sadly.

    Sorry to revive the post, but i have a question about the card you are speaking of.
    I also have this card and i can access all the SD and HD channels using Windows Media Centre.

    I want to be able to do the same with my own application. I can access the SD channels using a Directshow graph like this (graphstudio/graphedt):
    BDA Network Provider -> Tuner, Capture -> MPeg2 demux -> TIF
    -> Video decoder -> Renderer

    And i input the carrier frequency and Sid manually.
    I cannot however get the HD channels to work like this.
    Does anyone know how to manually access the HD channels with a similar Directshow graph?

    Thank you in advance.

    Not sure you'll be able to do that. If memory serves the HD content is encrypted. Without the decryption key you not receive the pictures/register the signal. However it is was a while ago I read this (during initial testing phase in London). So it may have changed since then

    Thank you Brynster and 3D Jed.

    It does require the conversion from h264. Using ffdshow raw video filter i have been able to watch HD channels.

    -> Video decoder -> ffdshow raw video -> Renderer

    conversions from H264 -> NV12 -> YV12

    IN FACT upon further investigation, the ffdshow filter is not required. Lodge the HD tuning request before connecting the video decoder and renderer. It will work. the renderer will recieve interlaced video and VIH2.

    I provide this information for anyone else who looks for this solution, the information is simply NOT available on the net anywhere!

    btw, to clarify Brynster, what you say about encryption may only be true for HD content from BluRay disks with their hdcp encryption.

    Thanks for your help
