Xbox 360 Media Center Extender Issue

Hi, I am trying to use my Xbox 360 as a Media Center Extender but can't seem to get my PC and 360 to connect. I am running Windows 7 with my Actiontec GT724WGR wireless DSL modem my PC is connected via Ethernet, I have my Xbox 360 connected to a Pelican PL 3669 wireless gaming adapter, I can connect to the internet with my current wireless setup but when it comes to media sharing to my Xbox from my PC I get nothing. I've tried going to the media center part of my Xbox and typing the 8 digit code into Media Center on my PC and still nothing. My Xbox doesn't even see a PC on the network.

When I was having this issue it was because I had previously had the 360 connected to media center on my PC back when I had vista and it was still seeing that, so I had to do a brand new connection for media center (rather than just saying to look for a media center PC).

If you aren't in that situation, I have no idea why they wouldn't see each other, even when entering the code into media center on your PC and having it look for an extender.
