Windows 10 Home Premium 64bit sp1

This would have to do with setting your display adapter

You have to open up control panel and choose Appearance and Personalization

Like this also it should show two screens but with a laptop i think it has to be put into extended mode

after that click on it it as you see the settings below will tell you default main etc......choose click apply if satisfied

WIN7 Ultimate 64bit

Is your cable "Certified" 1.3c or 1.4?

(Cos older cables 1.3/1.3b etc can't handle the data thruput!)

Usually you have to press a F key to step thru the outputs to enable the output. See page 77 of the maunal.

its okay people, figured it out, used a different Tv, basically for my main tv (samsung) the application has to be switched on before the TV can be turned over to HD1 2 3 etc, where as my other TV (LG) can be put on the HD channel before the application is turned on

my laptops HDMI port is apparently only activated once a live HDMI connection is available

so it wouldent pick up the HDMI cable with my samsung TV as it was not live if that makes sense lol

thanks for the help :)
