    Harddrive Crash Which Way Too Go


    hi folks
    my 500gb harddrive died this wa my main boot drive it is as cheap to buy a wd 1tb my question is
    my setup was
    main drive c:\500gb
    Video Drive d:\ 500gb where i had set media centre too record files too
    should i set the new c:\main useing the new 1TB Drive
    and leave the 500gb as the recording drive ??
    or should i put the new 1Tb Drive As C:\Drive And Default The Recording Also Too It
    i have read somewhere its best too default recordings to a drive on its own
    any help or advice please thanks :)

    Hello Arfer mate if you want my advice get a SSD for the OS and a nice quick boot leave the larger drives for data storage - well that is what I have done:)

    If you do go SSD then make sure you set it up properly with this. SSD Alignment < I use this for all drives I in any case:)

    i wont be going SSD at present i cant justify the high price just for a shorter startup time etc
    when the price drops i might think about it thanks for your input tho
