    movie maker has stopped working

    environment:
    windows 7 enterprise SP 1 64 bit
    windows essentials 2012
    movie maker version 2012

    problem:
after starting Movie Maker and importing a bunch of pictres from my camera (.JPEG) and after clicking for a whil in the list of the pictures from one to the other (e.g. setting the duration, etc.) I get the message "move maker has stopped working".

my video card drivers are up to date, the problem persists even if I run it in compatibility mode for lower version (vista),

Use the "repair" options in add/remove programs (find it in the Control Panel)
If all else fails, try re-installing.

thank you, the reapair option brought no progress. Finally I discovered that the driver was old and did so by manual check of the version date. My previous driver check, done by windows, gave me a wrong result ( = OK) and only after manula comparison of the version date I realized that 2011 indicates probably an outdated version.
