    Help, WMP won't broadcast webcam

A friend of mine is getting married in Vegas this week & I'm trying to view it online, however the stream is only broadcast through Windows Media Player, & when I click on the live link I get an error message saying Windows Media Player cannot connect to the server. The server name might not be correct, the server might not be available, or your proxy settings might not be correct.
Any ideas how I'd go about correcting this?
I've tried several times during the day & continually get this message.
    Thanks in advance.

The thing is I've tried clicking the live webcam link on the website at various times of the day, even when there are weddings taking place, & still get the same error message.

    What's the website?
Can you contact them for specific instructions on WMP settings (or is there a help page)

Check that your browser is set to not use a proxy.

What is the easiest way of finding out whether my browser is set to use a proxy?

I tried the site and got an error... I use VideoLan player which has more codecs than WMP and I've streamed many videos from many sources.

    From the website:
    IMPORTANT WEB CAM INFORMATION:
You will receive an error message except [when] the camera is on during live weddings.

Re: proxy settings: Removing Proxy Settings By Browser
This articles gives a good explanation for many browsers, it is common to have no proxy set or autodetect. Only special circumstances would require a proxy and I doubt this is one of those cases.

Why not call the 800 number and ask the chapel for infomation specific to their site? Perhaps they can set up a test for you.

I don't think I can offer more help on this issue, so I'll disengage.

    Good luck,

    Bill
