Windows Media Player freezing

    Windows Media Player freezing


    Windows Media Player keeps freezing everytime I want to watch a DVD, it will play fine for about 15-20 minutes and then all of a sudden it freezes and then I have to force it to close and sometimes it won't, is there an easy fix for this

    Easy fix is to use VLC.

    How about we troubleshoot the issue instead of suggesting something else?

    Can you please try the following?

    1.) Click type the following in the search. "Troubleshooting". Click Troubleshooting in the results. Now click programs in the window that appears. Under media player run the library troubleshooter. After that completes, run the settings troubleshooter.

    After both those finish, Restart the PC. Now try to open windows media player.

    Did that solve the issue?

    I have been having the same problem along with a very annoying clitch that it some how add's all my photgraphs on to Windows Media Player.

    I started the thread below, and I hope that there might be some helpful infomation on there that might be of use.
