Lost Windows 7 Media Player
Hi all.
Wanted to play a Tutorial DVD, but I appear to have lost lost my version of Windows 7 Media Player and I have tried downloading from the MS website, but it's so totally confusing. Whatever I did, I was sent to somewhere else on the site and never found a download button. Can someone make a constructive suggestion? Will I find it on the original W7 installation disk? Can you suggest an alternative? Many thanks. Forgot to mention. I have searched though my programs and it is nowhere to be seen |

Stokkers I see what you mean it is a total shambles and as far as I can see the only downloads are for WMP 11 for XP 64bit or 12 for 8?? I am wondering now what the dickens I would do if mine went bung on my other machines too.
I might keep having a look around as this is just infuriating that it cannot be accessed as usual, and may ask one of the others who are more in the loop:) |

Stokkers mate I think this is worth a try I am on my 8 laptop at the moment and of course it tells me it is not compatible, but have a try you can always restore or uninstall if things go south.

On left of page click "turn Windows features on or off." Scroll down to Media Features - expand and check box for WMP You may have to reboot, but you'll have it back. |
