My media center, not windows, has hijacked pictures from photoshop

I scanned a few hundred pictures 3 wks ago. They were scanned to a empty folder where they sat. Once finished I opened lightroom and brought them into the program. Subsequent to this I backed up my entire computer to an external HD. Now when I open the EHD to view files I see that all the scans have my media center logo attached to them. When I open an image and click on properties it says, "opens with Jriver media center 19". I went into media center and sure enough the image files for Tiff were set to yes. I have turned off all video, image, and data file associations within the media center which will stop future hijacking but now how do I remove the file association with my scanned images?

    thanks

right click one of the images and under properties choose default program then hit apply and all files of that type on the pc will use that program to open it.

Those images on the EHD are just back ups, arent they? Thats how i read your post, so not the original image.
Just concentrate on the original images for now through lightroom.
