WMP 12 not adding music files

Okay, this is driving me crazy. I've spent hours trying to figure this out and have tried everything I could find (see below for the list).

I upgraded my motherboard and CPU yesterday (from Asus P8P67 Pro w/2600K to Asus X99-A w/5820K). I did a sysprep/OOBE/Generalize and everything worked like a charm once I was in and installed all the needed drivers. That was, until, I started Media Player. My library was gone, but all the settings were there and correct. So I deleted the database and restarted. Nothing, I wouldn't reload from the directory. I double check the directory settings and they are correct. So I then ran troubleshooter and let it do its thing and that didn't work. I tried moving my music directory and changing the location in WMP and that didn't work. I can add videos and pictures all day long by dropping them in the monitored folders without an issue. When it comes to the music library, there are only two things that will add them. One is to play a song, but with over 30K songs, that is crazy. The other is to rip. If I rip a CD it will overwrite the existing folders and files and show up in the library. This is also crazy as ripping them all over again would be a waste of time as they all exist.

So if it's not a database problem, a problem with the file location pointer, what could it be? I have indexing turned on, as well.

Well after more searching, I found on individual that fixed their problem by deleting the "Music" entry under "Libraries" in Explorer. You then right click on "Libraries" and chose to restore default libraries. You can then go into WMP and add the path to your music library. Once that was done on my setup, it automatically started to add all my music back the the library!

Hope this helps another.
