Trying to add .AIFF files to WMP 12 library on windows 7 x64

Hello all, I'm trying to find a way to add .AIFF files to Windows Media Player 12 on Windows 7 x64.


Note that I can play an .Aiff file trough WMP 12, I just can't add that same file to the WMP library.
When I add a folder to the WMP librarby it adds the non-AIFF files to the library and skips adding all the .AIFF files.

I have tried this on 3 windows 7 x64 CPU's so I don't think this is an issue with any one computer.

Out of the box WMP 12 does not appear to support .AIFF files in the library, but I'm hoping there is some modification or setting that can allow this for me.

Does anyone know of any?

Unfortunately, No. You can download other media players, like VLC media player Or IrfanView.

WMP doesn't seem to add AIFF files to the Music section of the library, but to Other media instead. Have you checked if you can see the files there?
