Can't change MC update scheduled task. How come

As everyone on here probably knows MC update has a default scheduled task to run at 3:00 am every night. I have tried
to delete or disable the task but I cannot. I used the built-in Administrator account to delete the task yesterday afternoon
but it was back this morning. How can I get rid of this 3:00 am task?

If it will help, Brink has a tutorial to prevent the task from waking the computer:
Windows Media Center Updates - Enable or Disable Waking Computer

I have done that as well as deleted the task and it returns the next day.I just deleted the task yesterday (using the built in Administrator account) and it is back today. Is this a permissions issue or something. I run as standard Administrator account.

I'm not sure but it sounds like MC will recreate the task if it is missing.
You can try and change the Task to One time in the Triggers tab.
If that change sticks, it should only run one (more) time and not again after that.
