WMC takes longtime to work on boot, how to speedup?

Hi so I'm still having troubles with Windows Media Center (WMC). I would like WMC to work as soon as my PC boots up on my Xbox 360 extender BUT it seems I have to wait for like 5-10 minutes before it can connect. Is there a way I can speed this up?

Also to note sometimes WMC stops working until I restart my PC so idk if that has anything to do with it.

Never had an x-box, does an x-box require any firewall, anti-virus and/or anti-malware defense? I'm watching this thread to learn from you all.

If you are asking me which I am assuming so then yes it requires firewall rules on the PC but the Xbox itself doesn't have a configurable firewall. The Xbox does not have an antivirus because it doesn't need one. I do have some router ports forwarded so WMC works "properly" with my Xbox 360 but alas it still fails to connect or at least when it does work takes 5-10 min. upon PC startup.
