Windows 7: media center error

windows 7 prem 64 bit
media center error

I have windows prem 7 64 bit. trying to play video in windows media center (error cannot detect video in dvd rom)
when I play it in windows media player I can play dvd I get audio but no image.

any suggestions

Hello and welcome mkck now some system specs would be handy it helps if we know what we are dealing with

Now for starters run these

SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker

Disk Check I use Option 2 and use the /f and /r switches if necessary

You could also run these too - in case use the free one but as you install watch out for the trial offer untick it as it will pester if you don't
SUPERAntiSpyware | Remove Malware | Remove Spyware - AntiMalware, AntiSpyware, AntiAdware! free version is good enough and both are worth keeping alongside your own security.
