    WMP not working should do

I have been having considerable problems with my main machine (Ivy Bridge) and they sems to be getting worse.

The problem started with posting replies on this forum (they used to disappear) and I seemed to fix that by disabling Windows Media Centre but even before that the WMP did not work at all properly in that if I try to set up compilation CD's for the car the track either abruptly stop and are not in the order I set the burn to. Now the darn thing is doubling up on the tracks as I set them and somehow fitting more than the amount of data onto the blank CD then is possible.

Now I have done ate least two reinstalls and scanned the machine from dawn to dusk with sfc chkdsk and as many malware scans I can think of and the problem persists.

I was thinking about uninstalling the WLM and reinstalling it but before I do that (and go nuts) has anyone got any suggestions please?
I did have it in the back of my mind that install media was out of whack but I have used the original copy and the ISO that was available before they took it away

I had a serious issue posting to another forum after a year of it being fine.
I started using a web proxy and all the posting - editing problems disappeared.
here is a list of them.

I don't know why if someone targeted my IP, but I had some enemies there, I know I do.

Yep well the WLM seems to be ok now but the WMP is also having problems - sooty the last part of my original post should state WMP not WLM

Apart from uninstalling and the reinstalling WMP I am not sure what I can do and I certainly do not want to do another clean install unless I really have to.

I'm not seeing the connection between all of the problems. It's kind of like saying the tires went flat because there was no water in the radiator.

Have you checked the Event Logs to see if anything shows up there? Like errors on hardware and/or software? When I've had problems with WMC or WMP, I just turned the feature off, rebooted then turned the feature back on. This doesn't remove or delete any stored files. It just reloads the feature.

Have you thought about swapping out video cards I see you have the same card in two machines ?

Yes mate I have checked just about everything I can think of the WMP just seems to have amind of it's own on that main desktop and it started with the posting problem.
Now short of swapping out some hardware I am stuck with it so I have taken to doing any music burning for example on the laptops or the Win 8 and the older Win 7 tester desktops.

Yes well I cloned in a new Samsung 850 EVO this afternoon and the posting problem is gone and have yet to try the WMP. The machine though Ken is my main desktop although I have had a battle with the new laptop as well and I think it just might be ok now as the Asus service centre in Sydney were 1000% more help than the global and "local" support sites they were just unbelievably good.

By the by the 850 EVO knocks spots off the 840 EVO I had in
