I want to listen to audio from the internet...

but the streaming link says that I need to update Windows Media Player. When I try to update, it wants to install a FireFox plug-in. (I'm using Opera.) When I go to Internet Explorer, the link isn't even there.

All I want to do is listen to a football game via streaming from the internet like I've done countless times in the past. Any ideas what is wrong?

GS

Opera is often mis identified. Try letting it installing the plugin. You may be able to click past it and still have WMP upgraded

Good luck

The Firefox plug-in didn't help. I downloaded the Safari web browser and everything works fine. Why won't Media Player work for me in Internet Explorer and Opera?

Can you post a link to the streaming website? I'd like to see what it looks like in IE8.

Hold on a sec - is this a problem in XP?

From his profile looks so.
But I should agree it looks rather odd that he's complaining in a windows 7 forum!

Can I Listen To Audio On Two Devices At The Same Time?
so when i had xp i could launch WMP with my speakers and change to output to my headphones. the music would play on the speakers and i could play a game on my headphones at the same time. now it changes the moment i switch default audio outputs.
