    Sweet! New tuner and now HDTV Channels


    I bought a Hauppauge 2250 tuner and put it in my Media Center PC. I now get all of the network TV High Def channels. 4, 5, fox, and 7 now have 4.1, 5.1 and 7.1 as HD channels.

    Are cable companies required to make those channels available since they are broadcast channels?

    Cable companies are not required to do squat.
