WMC no longer waking up PC for scheduled recording
Been running Windows 7 using Hauppauge 2250 dual tuner for several years - 4 maybe - with
no problems. It does ( well it DID do ) everything I need.
Recently however, it failed to record a program when the PC was in 'sleep' mode and since that time
it will not wake the PC in order to record a scheduled program.
If the PC is 'on' all goes well but I cannot get it 'wake up' the PC in order to record.
I have changed nothing, there have been no lightning strikes, no magic smoke escaping from any of the equipment, no software installed / updated or other changes ( This particular PC was built to watch television/movies/tapes/cd's/DVD's and very little else ) - nothing unusual has taken place that I am aware of - this simply started happening and it is consistent -
PC sleeping -no recording
PC awake - records just fine
Any ideas ??

2nd item ( which I'm beginning to suspect may be related to the above item - possibly involving
something in the myriad of interconnecting, duplicate and incredibly varied 'settings' scattered
about the bowels of Windows !!
If the PC is rebooted from powered off state, I have to go back into WMC general settings
and reconfigure my speakers ( mini-plug and 5.1 surround ) or there is no sound at all
from WMC recording or live television !!!
This happens whenever the PC is shutdown and brought back up !!
Again, any ideas ???
Thanks in Advance for any assistance.
Joe
