RDP and WMC can not figure out to add 'guest' to a registry setting?

I want to watch WMC over my RDP connection and it can be done by doing this here, But they dont say how?

Windows Media Center doesn't run when on a Remote Desktop session - Microsoft Community

Not quite sure why this would be considered an "ITPro" issue.

It is probably debateable that MS really intended for MC to be used via RDP, I am not sure that they thought the feature was used very much at all judging by what they did in Windows 8

However there are two possibilities over the cause of this. An update to the RDP client may be the culprit but it is not always a good idea to block any update.

    Alternatively the following reg key

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Terminal Server\WinStations\Rdp-Tcp

needs the Users group added to have read access included in its permissions. Alternatively use the Run As Administrator option when starting Media Centre.
Then this guy fixes by this here.
    Hi Hairy Fool,

Thanks for the thoughts and suggestions.

The solution was the registry key not having to the correct permissions and adding the Guest account to it. Works like a charm now... well as well as MS will let it run!

From the lack of interest from MS I would not be surprised if it were dropped by MS altogether. Pity it had the potential for a great multimedia platform. They seem to be heading towards the Xbox and cloud... neither of which I have any intereste in for more reasons than there it time or space here... but MS seems to have their own agenda these days and they are loosing the battle badly and sadly as I have been an MS fan since DOS 1.0

But thanks for the tip it did work and I hope it will help others too.

    Thanks
I took a video of what it does, I tried modifying the existing guest acccount to user from guests, so now instead of outright killing WMC everytime an RDP connection occurs, it blinks and blinks this message.

I think what he wants you to do is right click on Rdp-tcp and select Permissions. Then, set the permission for the guest account to Read. That assumes the guest account shows up in the permissions.
