Use iPhone as Media Center Remote

    Hey Everyone,

I have developed an app for the iPhone that allows you to control Windows 7 Media center using your iPhone.

If you already have an iPhone you can save yourself a few bucks on a remote control since the App is a freebie.

    Check it out: Remote Kitten

    New Version

Hey everyone, a new version was released over the weekend.

It is much prettier! I would be keen on any feedback.

Wouldn't an appropriate iPhone app be available at the app store and not on a local machine running DNS hide and seek techniques? Please explain.

Plenty of apps available at the app store have a server side install too.

Not sure what you mean by, "Wouldn't an appropriate iPhone app be available at the app store"... it is at the app store.

The webiste for the app store is not kared dot net, simple whois lookup will also show what I am talking about.

umm, that's the developer's website, kared dot net, of course they would be linked on that site. And the apps are available on the app store as well.

I will not venture to an unknown website just because someone posts a link in forum. Isn't that security 101?

How do you discover anything on the Internet?

Right click on a link (even if it appears to be in the form of a URL), and then properties. Find the domain, i.e., site.com. Go to one of the database registrars' websites, such as whois, and look up that domain registration. I am not saying the site is bad I am saying it fits the profile of one that is...a site not hosted by a major trusted webhost or a well known domain, it's not foolproof but wise.
