avis in Recorded TV Library?

Hi Guys,

I was wondering whether it was possible to put any avi files into the Recorded TV library, or does it just pick up some built-in file format? I've got quite a few TV programs in avi format, but I don't necessarily want them in the Movies Library, as it adds heaps of records and makes it longer to scroll around.

Thanks for any help...

Try right clicking on the file in Explorer and opening with WMP or WMC. W7 WMC does support AVI files depending on how this file was encoded.

Broken AVIs
I don't have too many videos of this format, but it seems that every time that I play one with VLC, that it pops a warning that the file is broken, and offers to repair it. The repair always works, and the file will then play normally, but since I had played these files previously without any...

No Thumbnails on some .AVIs
I have a different problem I haven't been able to find anywhere. Only some .AVIs I have don't display thumbnails. I use VLC as my primary video player. Whenever I play these certain files, it shows how long I've been watching it but not how long it is. It shows "--:--" for the end time. Also, when...
