    WMC disturbing bug

when you maximize and restore down while playing a video in WMC the video stops and you can't just press play to continue you have to chose on the line of the minutes where you were.
I want to be able to restore down/maximize without losing the place i was in the middle of the video

    A) Do you mean 'minimize' when you state 'restore down'?
    B) Are you pausing before minimizing?
    C) What 'video' type are you playing when this occurs? Live TV, a DVD, a Recorded TV show, a saved video file?
    D) Please complete the hardware spec section.

Your screen saver may be interfering with video playback.

I am not experencing such issues, so it may not be WMC software related.

avi is a container format, Audio Video Interleave. It may have been encoded using enumerous methods. A review of the metadata may point you to the decoder needed for proper playback, noting both a video and an audio codec are required for interleaved files. The link and it's links may give some better insight into file compression techniques, wrappers, formats, and where the general industry is today, as opposed to 1992 when the AVI format was introduced by Microsoft.
