    7 MC help needed

I've spent the last 2 days trying to get MC all set up and unfortunatly it only adds 1 of the 200 or so movies I have on my HD. I've added and removed, tried doing it as a network drive (since it's shared), downloaded who knows how many programs and what not to make it work, but I still can't get any of the to show up. Anyone know ho to fix this? If so, plese help before I trash my PC and get a mac.

First off threatening to get a mac isnt going to win you any points or get an answer any quicker ok? Why it isnt adding your files by adding your movie folder is strange... have you tried adding each movie individually?

    try the following:
    1. remove the videos from the video library.
    2. reset MC so it recognizes that there are no videos.
    3. ensure that it is set to automatically recognize new videos and acess them.
    4. with MC running in a window, reimport all videos into video library.

this fixed a glitch i had with WMP; may or may not work for MC

I could never bring myself to get a mac and yes I've tried all that. I get one movie on the PC my HD is hooked up to and I get them all on another computer in the network, so I know MC will play them.

What kind of movies are these? AVI's, MP4's, MOV's? DivX, h264 (x264?)? MC can't recognize every single video codec/container, just like any other piece of software (expcept maybe VLC).

They're a mix between AVI and WMV. I know all of them work because I can see them on another computer
