    I recorded H.264 video in DVBDream. It got recorded as xx.ts file. Mediaplayer cannot play it even with win7 codecs installed but Mediaplayer classic(XP) can play it well. Any suggestion welcome.

    I just installed K-lite codecs and WMP classics got installed alongside. So I played all my .TS ( transport stream) files with it. If i used MP12 it stops responding and I have to froce stop it.

I recently discovered that had I upgraded to Win 7 Pro, I could be using some of my older software on my 64 bit machine rather than on my old clunky laptop running 32 bit Win 7. Does anyone have a clue about the XP capabilities of Win 8? Would it be stupid to fork out the $90 to upgrade to Win 7...
