WIN 7 No connection to DMA2200

Hi, cannot connect my new Linksys DMA 2200 media extender to my ACER laptop win 7, everything seems to work well untill last point in connecting phase, PC finds the DMA 2200 configure of PC and DMA220 is OK but in the final step when pc should connect to extender nothing happens....
    Have tried without fire wall....
Have tried with cabling direct to Router DIR-100.....
Dealer gave me a new Extender today.....
    Tried many other things.....

I dont know what to try, maybe this combination will never work, but still i think this must be a win 7 setup problem....

    Your help is appreceated.

Your extender is compatable with W7 WMC so it is not that, I suggest reviewing your router settings/capabilities.

    Gamlemis,

Opening a new thread with the same question is not going to yield different results.
You note that you are now using a new router, please provide the manufacturer, model, and version and perhaps we can help troubleshoot. Also, please provide your hardware information.

As stated earlier your extender is fully supported in Windows 7...let's start by the OP providing additional data as that may help us troubleshoot the issue with you.

    Hi AngelProcesser,

Ok my goal was not to open a new threat with same issue, i just wanted to know if someone got it to work.
I found info on another forum, regarding same problem, two different cases also with laptop PC, hanging on same task as mine, they solved this by making a clean installation of windows systen NOT using supplied recovery discs, but full windows installation dvds....
Think i will give this a shot, and buy original inst. dvds and try again...

    Does this make sence...

    Regards

I cannot assume that to be your best solution without additional information.

    Now working

Have now installed a new clean win7 on a desktop PC,
now media center communicates with DMA2200, just like that.
quick and reliable function, using wireless connection, but have not tried TV or high def. yet only movies/pictures etc. on hard drive, and thats working perfect.
So i am happy for now, but still no clue why this wouldnt work on the ACER laptop???
