    Hi torrentg,
Thanks for replying me. I was losing hope.
Well, I have the exact same driver that you have, 6.0.0.210 dated 30/11/2006.
I'm running win 7 x64. Are you running this one or x86 version?
And something else I'm thinking about, are you running an other software to control the ati remote wonder like girder?

Perhaps it comes from one of this two stuffs... Don't know

Has anyone been able to install any ATI Remote Wonder (I or II) driver successfully without any errors and without any problems on Windows 7 (32 or 64bit)?

I use the ATI Remote Wonder (I/II) to control ZoomPlayer for media viewing... It works a lot better, with more features and functionality than Microsoft's Media Center when it comes to playing movies. But the driver v3.04 offered by AMD for XP does not work or install correctly without errors on Windows 7 so I went back to using XP.
Windows 7 is ok, but if I cannot use my ATI Remotes to control my media from my couch or bed, I will stick with XP because it works. So AMD should get off their asses, give some answers or respond to people requesting proper drivers for the ATI Remote Wonders that work with Windows 7 otherwise you know what you can do with Windows 7 don't you Microsoft.

Go into the device manager, under Universal Serial Bus Controllers is the ATI Remote Wonder. Right click it, choose properties, then go to driver tab. What version are you running. If it's different than mine, maybe I could help.

    I'm running 6.0.0.210 dated 11/30/2006.

Edit: Here is the my driver in a .rar file. If yours is different, extract the .sys to Windows\system32\drivers, reboot.

Here is the solution that works for me...

Instal Xp driver 3.04, reboot. Instal Vista drivers from Remote Wonder? Plus Software for Windows Vista (32 bit) and restart.

It works fine for me. I tested all others solution from the topic and nothing, until i tryed this combination and it works

    Have fun.

Btw, is there any newest page with plugins for this remote control?
Most of the plugins from previous page is not reachable any more

    You star!

That last tip about using setup_rwplus_xp_vista.exe works perfectly. The Rmote Wonder icon appears on the taskbar right away!

    Cheers.

Hi Guys, I've tried the latest to get my Ati Remote Wonder up and running but still get the error
    "ATIRW.EXE
The program can't start because MFC71.DLL is missing from your computer. Try reinstalling the program to fix this problem."

The remote came with an All-In-Wonder 9800 which is no longer is use, is that my problem or can it run by itself?

I installed the dll it was talking about without success.
I have tried re-installing but no luck, any ideas will be greatly appreciated as I'd like to get my remote running again.

    Hy guys,
I've used a diffrent aproach for my ati wonder remote control device.
I've tried diffrent ways to solve that issue and i mange it to work using the windows xp \Program Files\ATI Technologies folder copied to windows7 \Program Files folder.
Then i've copied the MFC71.dll file from windows xp \windows\system32 folder to windows 7 \windows\system32\ folder.
Next step is to restart computer and to verify in device manager if the driver signature is 6.0.0.210 dated 30/11/2006.
I hope my post will help ..

    Windows 7 64bit Ultimate (Retail)

Well this has to be some kind of record 423 days last time someone posted in this thread.

Well i have bought it back to life, I am trying to get my remote wonder 1 working on a virgin install of Windows 7 Ultimate x64.

I have got my files from here
htpcforum.net - HTPC Discussion board • View topic - Ati remote wonder on Windows 7 64 Bit
when i try to copy the 4 dll files over to my windows/system32 folder 3 files go over fine but the last one msvcrt.dll will not copy over it just comes up saying
destination folder access denied: you need permission to perform this action
I have tried so many things it's untrue 2 whole days i have been working on this but with no luck.

I can get it working with x10 drivers but to be honest i'd rather have it showing up in device manager as remote wonder rather then x10 wireless device, so any help or suggestion welcome, i have to admit my experience of 7 IS limited so presume i know nothing.
