    doesn't find channels on startup

    Hi
Ive got a bit of a weird problem, when I open wmc7 and click live tv I get the "no signal" msg, but if I change channel a few times it will start working fine so that stops my scheduled recordings from working unless I leave wmc running. I was having issues with not waking from sleep but have that sorted if only it picked channel up straight away.
Any help would be great thanks.

I have the AverMedia G2 Combo... I had similar issues early on with it. I had to have it scan for channels everytime I wanted to use it and had the same issues with the DVR function.

The trick (for me) was to remove some cheap cables and splitters from my homes cable tv wiring. I also connected my splitter for the tuner card as close to my homes cable point of entry as I could. Apparently many tv tuner cards are very sensitive to the signal strength. I still have these intermittant problems with 1 channel... but I will solve those with a Channel Master digital distribution amplifier... Channel Master

    Hope this helps you!

And Arfer... your sig is very similar to something I've been telling my students for 15 years...
