    WMC: sound and video jerky

The start sound of my MediaCenter is jerky. And so are Trailers and Live TV. If I use MediaPlayer instead, sounds and videos are clear and fluent. What requirements of resources are higher for WMC than for WMP ?

    Hi kicks,

Here's a thread about the same issue, have a look and try out the solution recommended towards the end: Windows 7 Media Center -- Stuttering/Freezing Video During Internet TV Playback

Let me know if that helps at all.

    Cheers,

    Hi Walker,

many thanks for the informative link. Actually, I did not take hardware acceleration into consideration. It turned out that my graphics driver does allow for changes of hw acc. Amazing, however, that the same TV stick runs perfectly on the same machine, but with a different player on XP.

Remains sound. Why is even the start sound of WMC stuttering? With Windows Media Player or alternative players, I never get this effect.

Thanks in advance for any further hints or explanations.

    Cheers
    Tom
