    Hi Icepack.
I will try and tell you the steps you need to take.

    1. Open your Control Panel
    2. Open Programs and Features
    3. After the window opens look at the left column and select
Turn Windows Features ON and OFF
    4. After it opens the next window click on the + sign next to Medai features.
    It should show 3 things
    Windows DVD Maker
    Media Player
    Media Center

Just make sure you have all 3 checked if they are not.
If Media Center is still checked just uncheck and uninstall, reboot and return and check it and it will reinstall.

It may take a little time as I just recently did it myself.

Let me know if things work out ok.

Did you delete the Media Center or just the shortcut in Start > All Programs. i am asking because Media Center is not even on the uninstall list. On the system, it is in a very strange place: C:\Windows\ehome\ehshell.exe . You can make a shortcut from there.
