It is the best video plug-in I'v ever tried!
I like it but still use other plug-in's for videos.
Tryed it but wasent happy and removed it.
It doesnt have all the features I need.
Just the right amount of features.
It was to hard to use.
It was so easy to use.
I am new with MCE windows 7. I always used MediaPortal. I installed the MediaBrowser and it looks really nice. Unfortunately it doesn't play my MKV files? I found this on google
http://www.hack7mc.com/2009/02/mkvs-...windows-7.html
Can someone explain to me how to change the registry and where I can find the correct file on my computer?
Also would like to know how to configure the codecs for the internal player? I am using FFDSHOW and AC3Filter but how does MCE know?
Thanks in advance.
Cheers,
Steve
well according to the link you show all you should need to do is install the the two codices and then run the regkey they provided and MVK's should play. As I read it there should be no configuration to be done.
This is the one thing that I see that may help you. I dont use MVK's so I'm realy not to much help. sorrythe post you show said:

Thanks for your reply.
How can I run the registry? If I open the file it will just open another tab?

Here Download this then double click and click (YES) (OK) every time you see them
OK
What I would do is remove all of your codecs and remove media browser
then go to program data/media browser/cache and delete everything inside then restart your PC then install Shark007.net - Windows 7 Codecs
and Media browser again then start MC
Shark says his codecs will play MVK's in windows 7
