What do you guys think of this with the show name in the thumb image.

I am tiring to get this added to Stark Covers but need to gather a little support first so I want to know how you all like it, and would it be somthing you would want to use?

    Thanks all

wouldnt use it when i already know the name of movie/show when i click on it and see the details/synopsis page. So, honestly, if i were you i would focus on other things DS, i know you have alot more skill for other stuff. I dont think this small detail is of much importance.

Furthermore, it looks as tho i will be shifting my sights onto another plug, as i dont think this is even close to being deemed as a worth paid-for app yet, especially when there are so many other options in the open world. Other than the root page, not much imo was done to the overall MB in these newer version imo minus the themes. The idea of a yearly subscription... not likely. Also it only covers video, and is limited to you editing your collection, or having another app help you in the journey of doing so. Not worth the $$ for the bits of eyecandy when the premier funtionality is to play the files in the first place, not gawk at your collection of backdrops and covers, that "new-ness" will wear off, and then it comes down to funtionality. Things like resume features, filter by mpaa (parental locks), music support, lyrics support etc. In other words, a little while to go before i would consider handing out cash. This app has been in a test bed scenario imo, and now since he has used that resource, he now wants to charge... when again, i dont think this app is near any completion, lots of idea, but not much implementation. Think more funtionality instead of eyecandy, switch gears if you want my money.

nevertheless, i thank ppl like yourself and others for the app support DS

Yea its a little detail, but so is it all, just one little detail on top of another in the grand scheme of things right?
The concept orangeade from using the actor filter and choose a actor that had appeared in a TV Show, and the Thumb was the image showed, and if you didn't know from looking at it you'd probably not know what show it was.

And with this little detail in play that would not be an issue.

On the topic of the free MB. I'm with you, I think there still a ways off from a paid version. But what do I know, from reading the posts I don't think its going to be a.s.a.p. or anything but it is coming.

But regardless the one that we have and the next few updates that are free will still work after they make the jump. So I see no reason I cant continue to privately host the free version right? I don't know, so someone correct me if I wrong and would be infringing on something.

Yes you will. The "owner" of the app can sue you for rights infringment if you publish any alterations of the app. If you make changes and keep it for yourself, that is another thing. just to be on the safe side, I would consult with the "owners", and get it in writing. I could be wrong, but that is just me. In regards to paying, I think a one time fee should suffice rather than an anual or montly subscription. If you want updates, that can be free, but upgrades can be for a price. Maybe half of the original price. If a new user, then they pay full price for the new version. I am in IT, I know how much work goes into doing this kind of stuff. I know a lot of us have benefitted from all the "free"work these guys have done since the inception of this app. Funny now as soon as the mention of money, folks want to find all kind of faults.

I did this because Planet Earth does not show up in any of the Metadata fetchers.
So I hope this will help some frustrated people like me out.
