No I don't think anything is wrong with your set up, I think its a bug in MB that is making that happen.

    DemonSeed,

I have another question not related to the trailers and since you are the guru, I might as well ask you.

I am trying to configure ZoomPlayer 6 as an external player and I can not get it to work. I have tried it through the GUI, editing the XML myself and still no go. I have tried to put the path or even just a simple bat file and so no go.

I am running the latest Media Browser and tried it with W7 and Vista MCE versions. I know I was able to get it working on prior versions but not on the latest one.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks again,

    Tal

They might have changed the way MB is calling the external player. Has Zoom gone through any updates lately? It could could have something to do with it if so.

The only other thing I would try is changing the Optional Parameters thats in the config tool to "{1}" and see if it will launch it.
If that does not work I really don't know what other to do but use another player.

    Good luck with that.

Do you know what is the default player and where does it located? maybe I could rename and see what happens. Right now even if I have an External Player setup, it does play it with the default player.

The default player is media center. What type file are you trying to play?

    DemonSeed,

I am trying to play Mkv files. The reason why I want ot play using ZP is that I can have two way feedback using my system. I am using NetRemote with Girder 5 to control my whole house. Right now I have all my library playing my touch screen around the house and a Samsung Q1 and the portable remote. I can control ZP basic and extended function and also be able to see what Movie is playing and how long I got left.
I am trying to achieve the same functionality but using MediaBrowswer/MCE eye candy. Looking at the MB/MCE interface on a 10 foot screen is very easy on the eyes

Maybe I am barking at the wrong tree and you know of any other way to get 2 way feedback from MB/MCE?

Was able to find Vista Media Center TCP/IP Controller at http://http://vmccontroller.codeplex.com/. This will allow control of MCE using a simple web browser call. This will also get status of what is happening with MCE. Now I will need to figure out how to intigrate it with NetRemote/Girder5

    Thanks for all your help.

    Stark Covers And Music

With some help from jcalton88 I have found out that its possible to have your Stark Music Covers, showing in Media Centers now playing, floating box.

    Things to keep in mind:
    1. I have gone through my entire music collection and added a folder.jpg to ALL of my music folders. Using Music Art, To hep find all of the images.
    2. I have run Stark Covers and created the images I want to see.

To do this you will need:
    Mp3Tag
    The Newest StarkCovers
    Music Art

Now on to the Install, install Mp3Tag
then run and after it opens, show it where your music is.

After the list is full, Select one song, then press Control-A and it will select all.

After its all selected, go to the bar at the top and press the Aa.

Then Choose Import Cover From File.

After you press OK, you will need to tell it what file name to look for to set the images into the tags.
Now we need to remove any images that might be tagged to your songs.
So go to the bottom left and Check the box, "Delete existing Cover Art"
    Then press OK

Now you will see this box.

    After its done...Your dune!!
Thats it! After its done setting the covers into the id3 tags, MC will show the Stark Covers image when a song is playing.
See that was easy! Have Fun & Enjoy!!

    Special Thanks: jcalton88,tyborg, Craigt

I'm still trying to find a way to have Starks images in the waterfall as well, so if anyone knows where MC gets its images to show on the waterfall please tell me! Thanks Never Mind,
I had to remove my music folder from MC music library, then re add it to see Stark Covers in the Waterfall.

I just compiled the new MB that supports Music and started working on my collection and thought that this made a very good looking music case.

    Here is the files: http://dl.getdropbox.com/u/841137/Sidelogo-CD.rar
if you want to use them just drop them inside the sidelogo folder and stark will see them.

Found the shortcut on how to start mediabrowser, but is it possible to edit it sp it starts in my movies folder, instead of the mediabrowser startup windows?

NO, there is a SVN build that has multiple entry points but I haven't played with it so I'm not sure how it works. If you want to give compiling your own installer you can try it out. Here is the link to the wiki so you can learn how to. Compiling Media Browser SVN Builds - MediaBrowser
