You could also first install 2.0.11 then 2.1.1 that worked for me on 7260 x86
Yeah that was the trick i used for build 7201 and 7229 x64 but just cant get it to work on 7232 which is my favourite build thats the only reason why im bothering I've tried twice both clean installs but ive been using my ISO that i made from the vhd so im gonna try vasill's iso as i've read that there has been no issues with it at all.So hopefully 3rd times the trick.

On another note: How do I change the view in my diamond theme to have the cover flow an backdrop like Vanilla. Or is there only one view in diamond? Here are my screenshots that depict my issues

Just push up and the menu will pop up and you can change your view in the diamond theme.

Yes well I had the same problem as you even though I was using 7100 64bit and it fixed my problem so I expect it should fix yours even though your Win7 is later
As I first had the icon in v2.0.11 then lost it with v2.1 now back with v2.1.1

Got my issue sorted it is just that it was only ever sticking in the Extras section(even the latest media browser) so i used the registry hack to add it to the main menu and remove the Movies section as that is no longer needed. Thanks to all :) this completes WMC. :)

Really NOT feeling this new version of MB. The diamond theme locks up, and when it was working initially, there does not seem to be enough display options like there is in the vanilla theme. I am not knocking the app, just think I might revert to the prior version until this new one has more time on the "market". Maybe the bugs and kinks will get worked out soon. Actuially I might just keep it in Vanilla theme until a more current update is available that address the issues with the Diamond theme. Still a good app, just need some tweaking.

Oh ok, I thought it scrolled thru all your movies. On another topic, have you used the starkcover.exe tool to change your folder images? If so, do all your covers get changed? I ran it numerous times, and it does not change all my images.
