Yeah you have to use the imagesbyname folder to get icons on those folders.

If you don't already have the imagesbyname folder in your MB ProgramData you'll need to create it.
You can read up on it What is the ImagesByName folder and how does it work? - Media Browser Community Tracker

Thank you yet again. That is what I wanted. Originally missed renaming the Icons to Folder.png so didn't work at first but once I caught that mistake everything seems to working great.

Now I get to work on importing all of my Movies. and tweaking anything else I came across. Thank you for all of you help. I was originally going to use my movies for cover art. But now that I have MB setup it is a lot nicer then MyMovies.

I had the issue about loosing the image cache. Anyway, after manually going through it again, and sometimes pressing the reload button, the images all reloaded and haven't vanished since. So I'm not concerned with that anymore, but I do have a new oddity. If MB can't find cover art, it just gives the default "film strip" icon, right? So how come when I loaded the cover art in MB in the bedroom it didn't find a few covers. Then when I loaded MB in the living room (different computer, same networked media drive), it found some of those covers, but then couldn't find a few that the bedroom found. Trying to force reload the images doesn't do anything because it isn't a blank icon, but instead the film strip icon. It's very odd. For example, bedroom found cover art for "Let the Right One In (2008)", but not "Once Upon a Time in Norway (2007)", but the living room did just the opposite (didn't find the former, but found the latter).

lol, you got me on that one. I have no clue.
Sounds like a cache problem, and maybe one has internet providers turned on and the other not, but I'm only guessing.

I believe it has to be folder.jpg
At least here folder.pngs wouldn't show up, no matter how many time I'd refresh.

Sorry DG but, No, that's not right. You can have ether folder.jpg or folder.png in a folder and MB will display ether.
By default MB will display jpg over png but even that is configurable.

    It's in the MediaBrowserXml.config residing in "C:\ProgramData\MediaBrowser\MediaBrowserXml.config"

And just so I was clear, You can have both/ether folder.jpg and folder.png residing in the same folder.
By default the jpg will be displayed instead of the png.
The option to change it is...
    Code:
    <PNGTakesPrecedence>True</PNGTakesPrecedence>

My images are a combination of .png and .jpg. Both work for me.

I am now going to attempt to change the Main background image within media center. But this raised a question. Is there a way to default the start of MCE to MB? Not to the Main strip MB Icon but actually default it to load to the main menu within MB?

Also I am going to be loading some TV series for the Wife. I love lucy to be exact. Since we got the boxset I would imagine that I could load them to my normal DVD library. But I am going to put them in my TV Library. I assume that the Meta data would be pulled the same for what I am loading right now. But I also have plans for a DVR. So is there anything particular that I should know about in order to get meta data for TV shows?

Again thanks for all the help.

Yes, on install you have to option to create a desktop or startmenu shortcut. You can use one of them or pin it to your taskbar and launch directly into MB.

When ripping your shows I suggest doing it in a mkv or avi format and rip each episode individually. MB will pull up all the metadata for each episode as well as the seasons and series.

The recommended folder setup for MB TV Shows is like so....
    "F:\TV Shows\Bones"
    "F:\TV Shows\Bones\Season 1"
    "F:\TV Shows\Bones\Season 1\Bones 01x01 - Pilot.avi"

You can have your episodes named in a number of formats.
    Bones 01x01 - Pilot
    Bones s01e01 - Pilot
    Bones 1x01 - Pilot
    Bones 101 - Pilot

    Specials

As of Media Browser 2.2.2 (codename Thunderblade) there is support for TV Series Specials.
To use Specials support, do the following:

    • Create a folder in the series folder called “Season 0”.
    • On the TVDB Website, lookup the information about your series.
    • Place all your specials in the “Season 0” folder.
    • Number the episodes the same way they are numbered in TVDB.

Media Browser will display “Specials” as the name of the folder and pull all the metadata if using Internet Providers.
    Example:
To get Specials for the TV Series “Fringe

    D:\Series\Fringe\Season 0\
    0x01 - Unaired Pilot.avi
    0x02 - Access All Areas.avi
