    Win7 cannot play mpeg2

Win7 does play everything so far but it cannot play mpeg2 files.
I could convert them to xvid but I don't get why it won't play these files. dvd's are mpeg2 and they play fine.

    Did I miss something?

I thougt Win7 used it's own codecs and won't let third party apps work with media center?

What codec pack did you use?
