very nice card good price and good to see they are finally putting the f connections on the card.

maybe its my cards drivers i hope should be getting beta drivers to try soon

    cheers brad

ps- ah its not a dual digital tuner may not make a difference ?
Perhaps. I like the Hauppauge card, only now I want the 2250 so I can have dual tuners lol....

I just read all the reviews on the Hauppauge cards and lots of people have issues with them, sounds like their support gets an F- as well.

I want an ATI card ... I guess under the Diamond name would be my preference, just have to figure out what model. Too bad none of them are dual tuners.

And john ... I'm confused by you calling my comment untrue, you aren't even talking about the same build! I just did a reinstall of 6936 and media center still crashes on trying to open it,
I don't understand why folks are having issues with it - I have had *no* issues with my card, other than (again) Live TV being Grainy on my Monitors at native 1680 x 1050 resolution - but I expect that, as it is not digital....

And I wasn't saying *your* issue is not UAC related, I am saying that I don't think UAC is an issue across the board, just in select installs. That is the *very* reason I used the words "not necessarily true"... because if it were across the board, I'd have issues with it as well.

im sure hes just talking about win7 in general....
and can you show any errors or anything unsual (check your event viewer for during the time that happened...)

maybe we can get to the bottom of this...
    Yeah, what he said too

john it just might either have bad hardware...(very likely)
bad configuration (some hardware dont play very nicely with others...lol)(also very likely)
or maybe they had bad luck (unlikely)
or you had good luck (very very unlikely...lol)

Forgive me for the noob-ish comment, but what logs? Explain! I just get the typical windows crash, where do I go to find a log of these and with any information that would actually be helpful.

Diamond you are not a noob and that there is no such thing as a noob question....
(unless its been answered and not only those that mean you are a noob but also lazy...lol)
but are neither so i will explain....
when you go to Computer management (best thing to me since sliced bread...lol i love having all this info all in one place....)
if you dont know how then right on "my computer" or on in the startbar "computer"
    and click manage

    click on event viewer
    then on windows logs
dont be overwhelmed by all the info there...lol
just save all the logs (that are specified in the pic...)
zip them all and upload them
also specify the time that you had the error...
    allright...
    that should be enough...
these logs hold a wealth of error info
    including error codes subsytem codes
errors with the system (somethings you dont even see...lol)
