    Reception Issues


    In the media center when I click on watch live tv, i often get 'poor reception, cannot view' or whatever the error is on every channel, but when I got into settings I see reception to be good (green). At the same time, I can view the same channels on another computer (the tuner is HDHomeRun, so it works on any computer).

    Also, the error may have been "Video Error", not poor reception

    Any clue on what could be busted?

    I could reproduce this in another viewer (that came with HDHomeRun) so this was not a WMC issue.

    The issue turned out to have turned up after updating ION drivers, which is apparently a known issue.

    The workaround is to rollback the drivers, however, I just downloaded the 'HD Audio Driver' of Nvidia's site, and my issue went away.

Odd/interesting issue, The other day I tried listening to FM radio in media center, no luck. Okay, could be no antenna (first time in a LONG time) or other stuff so I fix the obvious (connect antenna, make sure it's not stuffed behind the computer, etc...) still nothing. So I restart, go to...
i have spotty reception for my dell inspiron n4030 in parts of the house i have strong reception and in others i have weak or none at all. I have tried virus scans,changing the channel and running the troubleshooter. i am including screenshots of my comps info to help 176564 176565 ...
Netgear tech support told me that I may improve the wifi in the other room by lowering the MTU from 1500 to 1400. Does this sound right?:geek:
