    DVD Streaming to HDTV

This is driving me crazy. I have recently upgraded from Win-XP to Win-7.

I was able to stream DVD or recorded media across to the Sony HDTV and then continue to work on other programs on the PC.

Since I have upgraded, I am finding this impossible to do unless I clone the PC to the HDTV - but then when I minimize the Media Player on the PC it obviously minimizes on the TV also.

    Is there a fix?

Hit Win+P to get quick display settings. Try moving it to extend.

If that doesn't work, try right clicking and selecting Desktop Resolution.

Thanks - but when I Extend it distorts the screen on the PC and moves the icons all over the screen. When I minimize Media Player or Centre it also minimizes on the HDTV. When I try the 'Play to' it doesn't see anything to connect to...

You have to set it up as a second monitor

Yep! It refuses to do it.

I will just keep dragging it across to the SONY so that I can work on the PC. It looks like Win-7 64 bit is not capable of emulating it in the same way as XP 32 bit did.
