    Addon for PIP

Is there any addon for Media Center in Windows 7 that will add Picture in Picture functionality?

I'm watching TV over DVBLink for IPTV, which creates 4 virtual tuners for watching IPTV, so it should not be a problem in tuner ammount.

I'm not able to find any WMC plugins that add PIP functionality - but why couldn't you just view your secondary feed in another media player, such as VLC?

I don't know about the OP, but I found interesting the PIP idea for a "sneak peak" of what is going on on another channel while I'm actually paying more attention to the current channel. Also, easier to PIP than to un-maximize, find VLC shortcut, open it, select the new channel, close it after found nothing interesting, maximize original screen, not to mention others may be watching all of this too -- and being WMC a very TV like, PIP is truly handy.

Point of the PIP is not watching two channels at one time, but ability to quickly switch channel while still knowing what is happening on previous channel. Great for waiting till the end of the advertisments. And this is not achieved by opening VLC.

I don't know why Microsoft don't integrate that feature into WMC. Today even cheapest LCD TV's are getting PIP features and PC is suposed have much more functions.

I realize using another media player isn't the ideal solution, but in absence of a PIP add-on for WMC it's about as close as you're going to get. Here's a discussion on a WMC developer's blog from a couple years ago mentioning some possible reasons PIP hasn't been added to WMC: Picture-in-Picture: Would You Use It? - Chris Lanier's Blog
