Cannot record some Recorded TV to DVD

Hi,

I cannot record some of my Recorded TV content to DVD as I get an 'Unsupported File Type' error when trying to do so in Media Center. But other Recorded TV shows burn fine without this error.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue and know why this is happening?

I'm using Windows 7 RC build 7100

I never use Media center for recording video to start with. For some time now the free version of StarBurn has worked well for iso burning as well as svcd, vcd, and dvd burns if you are recording in mpeg II format. :: RocketDivision :: Free Windows iSCSI Target, Initiator and CD/DVD/Blu-Ray/HD-DVD Burner

I still have to see how well a few others will work on the RCs now that they are out. Those will include Nero Essentials included with a dvd burner and an old XP version of NeoDVD for compatibility tests there.

StarBurn on the other hand seems to work well on both 32bit and 64bit versions of XP, Vista, and 7 without fuss if you need something to work with until this is solved.

I haven't too video work with it yet while most files here burned are mpeg IIs. I suggested this one for temp use due to it's reliability for a free version. As soon as I get things set here for both 64bit and 32bit RCs there a vcd project just waiting for it! But that will still be from an mpeg II file there however.

The tv card here is set to record in mpeg II while that is also used as a capture device from s-video/composite input as well as timed recording. You will have to look at the file type itself by the 3 digit file extension like mpg, avi, wmv, or other to first know what that is.

The Starburn supports those as well as Blu ray suggesting it would likely work for you there as well. The best way to find out would be running a test burn on an rw disk to see how that goes and if you run into the same error.

Tagging Recorded TV
Hi. Would anyone know how to rename or tag a recordedTV show in WMC? When I watch a recorded tv show in WMC, I may want to not delete it, instead leave it for others to watch at a later time. Ideally I would like to rename the recorded tv show or drop an icon or avatar onto it. Any ideas?
