Transfer of music from ipod to computer

Hi there, i recently had to reformat my laptop and i didn't have a chance to backup all the data i have on my ipod touch (music, videos, photos etc). I was wondering if anyone can give me a guide on how to do this, or tell me some software that is free as getting all the data from scratch again will just make me depressed. thanks in advance.

    Welcome to the Forum

This software is one of the best, but since you formatted, I am not too hopeful

    Thanks for the quick reply
I am trying out the software just now, but when i click "media card or ipod" under file location it keeps saying "ipod not detected" even thought it is connected. Any suggestions?

Please, do not get your hopes up, you formatted. One advice, I can give is dont use it much, the more its used the more difficult to find the files.

Can't really answer that question, but maybe you should try this one instead.

Is the data still on the touch now? Here is a free program that should suit you:

    CopyTrans Suite

the software you have given me is great, on the downside i did have to pay for it. Despite this it was fairly cheap so thanks for the link =)

Not sure who you are referring to. CopyTrans is free. Or at least I was suggesting the free version

    Free Download

It's called Copy Trans Manager, sorry about that . But glad you got what you needed. A Guy
