xbox 360 won't connect

Hi Guys

I have looked at the other threads relatiing to this issue and have tried the solutions offered but I still can't get my new xbox slim to configure with media centre. I get to the point where I have entered the eight digit code and I see the driver being installed and then after a few seconds I get the configuration error. I have disabled all firewalls, have tried set up when not connected to internet, have tried direct ethernet cable to computer and have swapped my wireless hub. I don't know what to do next!!

Any help would be really appreciated.

A couple times, I've had to remove the extender from the PC and remove the config from the xbox and start over from scratch. Make sure to remove all settings from both though before re-starting.

Hi Rob,
I've been helping someone out in another thread with the same/similar issue. We seem to have found a solution to his problem. The solution to the guys problem is at the bottom of page two, but if that does not work feel free to look through the rest of the thread for other possible solutions I came across. I hope this helps.

EDIT: just realized the OP was four days old. I doubt he's coming back, but we can hope.
