Biography:

Suburban Philadelphia (Yeadon) native who dropped out of Drexel University just before finals in my Freshman year (79-80) because my social immaturity (introversion and lack of social experience due to parental sheltering) caused me to experience high anxiety in that first- time away-from-home environment, which, in turn, negatively impacted this formerly straight-A student to end up on academic probation. Joined the Navy and became a Data Processing Technician, Second Class Pretty Officer (E5, 1983 - 1987), stationed aboard the U.S.S. D.D. Eisenhower, CVN-69, based at N.O.B., Norfolk, VA. Married first wife in 1984; son born 1986. Divorced 1987 (that social immaturity and immaturity in general still rearing its ugly head). Married second wife in 1987; daughter born 1988. Discharged from Navy 1987, OTH, not tending to financial responsibilities (child support). Become involved with substance abuse, which gradually worsens over the next 18 years, to the point where my wife made the wise decision to leave me and move to the west coast with our daughter. We reunited three months later, and I was a real father and husband for two-and-a-half years, until I again began using. Not just using, but abusing, not just substances, but people, including my wife and daughter. Very ugly; no one wants or needs those details. Suffice it to say that in 2005 I was arrested, convicted, and spent the next fifteen years in state prison until I paroled on May 23, 2020. I completed 49 credits in an AA degree program while maintaining a 4.0 GPA during those years of incarceration. I am currently enrolled in three courses st Sacramento City College to complete the AA degree for transfer to CSU. My goal is to play a significant role in the field of Bioinformatics.
