    Office 2010/Outlook calendar crash

Greetings and I hope you can help me find a solution!
I have Win 7 OS on both my laptop and desktop. I've installed the same trial Office 2010 to both (ran it concurrently with 2007 to begin with but decided that 2010 was the one for me.) Both set-ups ran w/ no problems, then the Outlook on the desktop started crashing when I attempted to change the calendar (my school teaching schedule -recurring occurances) It would let me use mail, etc. but would (still does) crash when I attempt(ed) anything more than just look at the calendar. I've done the following: Uninstalled Office 2007; uninstalled and then reinstalled-first pro plus 2010, now office standard 2010 (new trial download direct from MS)-- uninstalled...then reinstalled new hotmail connector app. Ran sfc /scannow...OK Amazingly (to me) it remembered my calendar (and ability to crash!) through all this. It now will crash on attempting to open outlook half the time (or more frequently)It looks like ntdll.dll is a cause. Attached is a couple of the problem "details" after crash. Thanks in advance for your help.

    James,
I would backup your calendar and emails from outlook. When you do a complete uninstall, you will also need to delete the office folder on your hard drive (usually c: program files: microsoft office).

    ITGIRL,
Well that didn't work. I uninstalled ; deleted small 49kb Office file; re-installed; (didn't bother to back-up email since it is gmail and live.com and thought it just as well not to bother to back-up the calendar. Well, it (the calendar) is still there and still crashing! If you or someone else cannot come up w/a solution I'll just have to live without Outlook. I have for a good many years already! Just was trying it as a convenience and to see if it was worth the price. (shrug of shoulders) Any way if you think of anything let me know. I don't like giving up.

    James,
Sorry for the late response. What I would do at this point is go to C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office14 then when you get down to the outlook (will have the outlook symbol), left click then go to properties. Go to the compatibility tab and click the check box that says "run in compatibility mode windows xp sp3". Apply and OK. Then restart your computer. Let me know if it works
