    Office 2010 and iWork 09

So to be quick i have Microsoft office 2010 on my PC, and I'm a school student so i usally put assessments that i do on school on a USB and open it on my PC. However my school uses Mac's anlong with the iwork 09 suite... i don't know if it the formatting that i saved the pages doucments but everytime i put a iwork 09 pages document onto my USB and try to open it with Word 10 it never works. How ever it used to work with Word 07. The school does have Office 2008 for mac, but they prefer us using iwork and teacher use office and for students to get word it kinda hard to try and get it. So can anyone help me?

This is a compatibility problem with Office 2010... Stick with Office 2007 as long as it was working for you in the past...

Ok there is as far as I know no change in the file format between 2007 and 2010 so this should work as intended and did previously - it may be due to more detailed checking for format compatibility in 2010 for the files from iWork09.

You may want to have a play with the compatibility options in 2010 as this may provide a workaround at this time.

Another option I have used a lot over the years for supposedly incompatible applications is to find a 3rd party (ODF is a good one these days), format that is acceptable to both
