Uninstall MS Office 2007, Yes or No?

I have Windows 7 Home Premium and it came with a 60 day free trial of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional. I will probably never buy that entire program and only need MS Word and MS Powerpoint. I was able to get those two programs in a much less costly Program called MS Office Home and Student. My question is: Is it best to uninstall the free 60 day Trial of Microsoft Office 2007 Professional before installing MS Office Home and Student?

According to this, Yes you should. You may want to use something like Revo uninstaller to make sure you get rid of all of it.

    Yep

My gut would say "yes" also, if you install your MS Word & the other over the trial version, I'd guess you'd still encounter license whining at the end of the trial period.

Thanks for the link and the advice.......I will see what I can do to get rid of the entire program before I proceed with installing the new one.

I've remove the Trial Office 2007 last week from the "Add or Remove Programs" with no probs...
This will uninstall all security fix for Office 2007 aswell, just make sure to remove the "Office Live Addin"...

you should have 4 Office 2007 program to uninstall, listed in your programs.
Then reboot and it will finish cleaned it up.

    Hi gskywalkers;649458 & welcome.
You would be well advised to remove the trial version of MS Office 2007 Pro before installing MS Office Home & Student.

Same here uninstall every thing with the Office 2007 program and the activation assistant. Restart and install Office 2007 Home and student.
