    Word 2003 slow starts in Windows 7 64-bit


    Following the advice in How to troubleshoot problems that occur when you start or use Word 2010, Word 2007, Word 2003, or Word 2002 I found that the Normal.dot file must have been corrupted and Word 2003 was very slow to start or exit, and files ver slow to load and save. After renaming and replacing Normal.dot the normal Winword.exe worked fine without the /safe or /a mode. Of course, I tried every other method known to man to no avail before the above method.

    Wow, sometimes it is neat to read this stuff.......

Office 2003 Word is very slow

I have Office 2003 Word installed on 3 Window 7 Home Premium machines, but on one of them the program is very slow to open and close. I have uninstalled and re-installed many times with no improvement. Any suggestions? Thanks!:D
