    Cant send email from Word

If I open a doc and then press the "logo" jigger in the LH corner to open the menu, then send, email. Word freezes up and Outlook never opens. If I try to close Word I get error as attached. (Capture.png)

If I reboot when Word is forced to close, Outlook momentarily opens before shutdown.

If I ctl-alt-delete to open task manager and force Word to Close I get error as attached. (Capture.png)

If I try to send as PDF I get error as attached. (Capture2.png)

    Any ideas?

    Hello there richdave,

    I'm curious....

*Have you a system restore point to a date prior to this happening?

*Have you tried Diagnose & Repair Office Problems?
Word > Office Button > Word Options > Resources > Run MS Office Diagnostics.

Diags does not find anything... pressing continue to try next steps (connect to MS servers) I get the following - Firefox can't find the server at watson392.watson.microsoft.com.

You may have to consider the unthinkable -
Uninstall & reinstall to see if that corrects your problem....

This issue also happened with my previous VISTA x64 install and Office 2007, I am thinking that either Office or the x64 OS has a bug in them??

Not going to reinstall the OS for a minor inconvenience at this stage but I'll try reinstalling Office

OK I tried a repair - no joy. I then uninstalled and rebooted, then install and it looks to be working so far.

I can right click, send to, email recipient ad Outlook opens. Similarly I can menu, send, email, docs from Word

Send as PDF also works now

    richdave,
    Sounds promising...
Keep it under observation for a bit then please report back & confirm all is indeed well .
    Good luck.

If this fails, you might have better luck uninstalling Office, removing any orphaned folders AND registry entries left behind, then rebooting, then a fresh install.

It's not a 64bit OS issue, I've had Win7 64 pro at home since last year with 2003, then 2007 and now Office 2010 without issues.

My fix on the 25/10 is still working so I assume that something screwy happened during first install and the reinstall resolved it
